FOOTBALL SPECIAL OLYMPICS AT McLEANS COLLEGE by Gregory

On Tuesday the 21st of June our class went to McLean's College to play soccer.  We traveled in cars. Our team was called the Edgewater Spiders.  We played 2 games.  The turf felt soft and springy. William and Braydon were our goalies.  Kate kicked lots of goals.  We won one game.  After that we enjoyed a sausage sizzle with our friends.  We were given Special Olympic Certificates.
I thought it was a great day.

THE WORLD OF GUMBO

On Sunday I stayed at home and watched TV.  I watched World of Gumbo.  Tyranasaurus Rex, Darwin, and Mr Robinson were screaming because they were annoyed with each other and didn’t like each other.  My favourite part was the music at the end because it had funny words.

DOCTOR'S VISIT by Gregory

This week I had to have a day off school as my throat was sore.  My doctor is a man and he had a look in my throat with a big lollie-pop stick.  He put a stethoscope on my chest and it was cold.  We drove in the car to Botany.  It was fun.

My Cat Lucy by Gregory

My cats name is Lucy.  She is 5 years old.  Lucy is a tabby cat.  She has dark brown fur.  Sometimes Lucy runs away from me.  She gets nervous.  She likes to play with her toy mouse.  She eats cat food from a container.  Lucy’s food looks like small pellets. 

I love my cat Lucy.

My favourite movie by Gregory

My favourite movie was Happy Dog because it was funny when the bad dog run away chased by the super dog.

Horse Riding by Gregory

Every Thursday Mum picks me up from school and takes me to RDA (Riding for the Disabled). RDA is on a farm near Manukau. There are two horses Hershey and Toby but I like riding Toby because he is a friendly horse. Mum helps me use the mounting block to get on to Toby’s back. Sometimes Maru helps too. I ride Toby along a track and then I ride back again. I brought a photo to school of me riding Toby. I am holding on to the reigns and I am wearing a helmet keep me safe in case I fall off.I really like going to RDA. It is fun.

Home Sick

On Friday I was sick and I had a lot of mucous in my throat so I stayed at home. My Mum looked after me. I watched T.V. and enjoyed watching “Back to the Barnyard.” Mum was happy because she liked looking after me.

I LOVE POPCORN by Gregory

On the 8^th of August Michelle made some popcorn for our class treat.  She made it in our classroom and Geara, our Teacher, said I could stay and watch her. Michelle poured some olive oil into a hot electric frying pan and then she put whole kernels of corn in.  When they got hot they opened and made a loud popping sound.  I loved watching her. We all enjoyed our popcorn and drinks.  I had a Milo, it was nice and hot.  It was fun to have this after our “Grooming” session.
